A Lincoln resident, attorney, and small business owner ready to listen, serve, and lead.
I am a candidate for Senate in District 17 to help provide real solutions to the many problems we face. I would like this state to once again be a place where the children we educate do not have to leave to find job opportunities, seniors can stay in their communities, businesses can grow and thrive for generations, and residents can lead active, healthy lives with timely access to quality healthcare and housing—a place where everything isn’t so hard every day.
As I contemplated taking this next step in public service, I was inspired by reflecting on how kind, welcoming, resourceful, and resilient Rhode Islanders are. There was a time when little Rhody led the United States in industry and innovation. For more than 300 years, our renegade spirit has produced innovators, inventors, industry leaders, philanthropists, and many others who were unafraid to challenge the status quo. Though our ship has been adrift, I truly believe, with proper leadership, hard work, and experienced representation, we can anchor once again.
Our state motto is “Hope” because we never give up trying to improve, and neither will I.
My name is Jina, and I have been a proud resident of the Town of Lincoln for 40 years and a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. I am an attorney, business owner, and mother of two young adults. Like you, I am frustrated with how difficult it can be for our families, businesses, and retirees to thrive in our state. It should not be so hard.
Real progress takes perseverance, advocacy, resilience, and experience. Over decades of legal work and consumer advocacy, I have learned how to disagree without being disagreeable, and how to achieve real results by doing so.
