The Narragansett Bay Commission manages the systems and long-term projects that protect public health and the waters of Narragansett Bay. Its work supports local communities, the economy, and the future of one of our state's defining resources.

As a board member since 2017, Jina has seen firsthand how thoughtful investment, collaboration, and careful oversight turn complex infrastructure work into lasting results for Rhode Islanders.

Since 2017, Jina has served on the Narragansett Bay Commission Board, helping oversee work that protects public health and Rhode Island's most important natural resource.

Her board service reflects the approach she will bring to the Senate: understand the details, ask thoughtful questions, work collaboratively, and remain accountable for results that matter to Rhode Islanders.

Food Access & Community Care

St. Edward Food Center

Offering practical, compassionate support to local individuals and families facing food insecurity.

The St. Edward Food Center brings volunteers and community partners together to collect, organize, and distribute food to neighbors who need a hand.

Through her volunteer service, Jina helps support the behind-the-scenes work that makes this care possible. It is a direct reminder that strong communities are built person by person with dignity, consistency, and a willingness to show up.

When faced with the Covid pandemic, the St. Edwards Food Center was dedicated to continuing its mission to provide food to those in need. As in person service was no longer possible it shifted to pre-bagged food pick up. Because many of the volunteers were older and vulnerable, Jina jumped in weekly to help bag food so that the hundreds of families serviced by the center every week would not go without.

Caring Support for Unhoused Families

Holy Family Home

Supporting mothers and children with compassion, dignity, and practical care.

Located in Providence, Holy Family Home for Mothers and Children provides a safe, caring, and nurturing home for women and children in need. Jina has served as Chair of the Board, helping support its work with families who need stability and care.

Her service reflects a longstanding commitment to strengthening the organizations that help neighbors through difficult moments and build stronger futures for local families.
